  • Simas was an excellent guide. He knew what he was talking about and unhurried during the tour despite us going over time and he had another tour later. He does more adventure/kayak tours so I was pleasantly pleased withthe information he provided us. He also took us on an unscheduled trail to get the best view of the dunes. His english is fluent but he was at a loss for a particular word sometimes. Didn't ruin our tour and we enjoyed finishing his sentences. Would definitely recommend him.

  • Prespecteerd prima op tijd en zeer kundig. Weet veel en vertelt veel. Vond het zeer vervelend dat we erg lang op de boot moesten wachten terwijl hij daar niets aan kon doen.

More About the Tour

Curonian Spit is an almost 100 km long narrow peninsula, which separates the mainland and the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic sea. Since the year 2000, Curonian Spit is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. While mostly known for its drifting sand dunes, pine forests, elks and fine beaches, Curonian Spit also offers rich cultural heritage of the traditional fishermen’s way of life, the ethnic Curonians (Kuršiai) group, and east Prussian history.
Discover all highlights of Curonian Lagoon with a professional local guide while traveling in a comfortable air-conditioned van. You will walk on some of Europe’s largest sand dunes, hear Lithuanian sagas and fairytales on the mysterious Hill of Witches and experience a haunting atmosphere in the cormorants colony. You can also explore the cultural centre of the Curonian Spit in Nida village, located next to the border with Russia, and learn more about the amber in the Amber gallery.
And last but not least – why not to take a swim or just a pleasant beach walk on the famous sandy beach of the Curonian Spit before heading back to Klaipeda?
